The Sussex FA have recently announced the winners of their Grassroots Football Awards.

We were over the moon to learn that our very own Jess Klamm had won ‘Rising Star of the Year Award’.

Jess works along side Ricardo and his coaching staff in our Atletico team.

Here is a few words from Dave Wellbelove, Club Secretary:

“What wonderful news about Jess, and her ‘rising star’ award, as posted on the Sussex County FA Website. I know the quality of the young people each year who receive various SCFA awards. It is therefore a great honour for your her family, team and our club to have one of our young people recognised with this prestigeous award, this year.

It is also a message for our other teams that they can aspire to encourage, recognise and put forward their own team youngsters who have excelled in this way.

Success and resilience within a team is generated by young people and parents seeking and spotting opportuniities to play their part and push out the boundaries of how young people can find a niche. A niche which consolidates their own part in the development of the team, in so many different ways.

I hope that Jess is as proud of her own achievement as our Roffey Robins footballing family is proud of her.

Very well done from us all.”
